Dr. András Schubert, chemist, prominent scientist in the field of scientometrics, editor, writer and musician, celebrates his 70th birthday on 09 April.

His long-time colleague and friend, Wolfgang Glänzel (together with other authors and congratulators) decided to honour him on the occasion of this event by compiling a festschrift for András. ISSI gladly offered to publish and host it on its website. This special volume of the ISSI e-newsletter (vol. 12-S, Macrh 2016) is the fifth one in its festschrift series, after festschrifts dedicated to Tibor Braun, Olle Persson, Peter Ingwersen and Manfred Bonitz.

The editors of the ISSI Newsletter wishes to honour him on the occasion of this event by publishing a special volume of our e-zine (vol. 25-S March 2011). This volume – a limited edition of which has also appeared in print – is available for reading and free download.

With this Festschrift we wish to honour Professor Peter Ingwersen on his retirement from the Royal School of Library and Information (RSLIS) and concomitant appointment as the first Professor Emeritus at the Royal School in summer 2010.

The Festschrift has been published and printed by the RSLIS and is made available here for the general public in a slightly extended electronic version under the auspices of ISSI.

Four of his Scandinavian colleagues (Fredrik Åström, Rickard Danell, Birger Larsen and Jesper W. Schneider – together with other authors and congratulators) decided to honour him on the occasion of this event by compiling a festschrift for Olle. ISSI gladly offered to publish and host it on its website. This special volume of the ISSI e-newsletter (vol. 05-S, June 2009) is the second one in its festschrift series, right after Tibor Braun's one.
